We played on the beach, jumped the waves, built things in the sand, swam in the pool, fished off the pier, played games, ran on the beach, watched movies, ate too much, etc.....
Here is our crowd at the beach. Nick, our son, did not come down until later in the week so he is not in this pic. (Sorry Nick!)
Here are more pics from the week, thanks for allowing me to share with you.
Layla and Bradyn....... aren't they sweet!
That's me in the white and jeans with my twin sister, Sharon.
Layla loved playing in the sand!
Bradyn and his mom made a cool whale in the sand.
Rodney and Bradyn.... they are like peas and carrots!
My sister sure enjoyed the attention from Layla!
Bradyn loved being a "pirate"!
This old truck sits out front of the Litchfield Fish House.... a local place that is packed every night! They have really good seafood and a nice bar. I have never seen a restaurant so kid friendly! They even have a small playground for the kids.

I'm so glad that you all had a great time! You all deserved a long, relaxing vacation. What a blessing to have your whole family with you.
ReplyDeleteSo...my favorite vacation spot...well, I would have to say I love the ocean and the sand as well. There's nothing like watching the sun rise as it reflects on the still early morning water. A close second would be the gorgeous mountains during snow season. We love to visit Boone for a stay in the mountain house. It is so relaxing to be snowed in with nothing to do but play in the snow, drink hot chocolate, play games with the family, and read. :) But, for now, let's enjoy this beautiful warm weather.
As always, thanks for sharing and for getting everyone else's thoughts on vacation. :)
Thanks for sharing Natasha....I actually got chill bumps reading about getting snowed in! We love the mountains too. Aren't we just so fortunate to live between the coast and the mountains with easy access to both!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pics...they were wonderful! I love Layla's fashion sense...she couldn't be more precious and so photogenic. I hardly recognized Tyler and Madison...they are growing up so fast. And, Braydn...geez...so handsome! My favorite vacation spot is by far the OBX, NC. There's nothing like it...
ReplyDeleteI wondered how much knitting you would get done! Thought it was really ambitious that you took two projects! Looks like yall had a great time!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite trip is definitely a beach family vacation! Nothing like the waves and sand of Carolina beaches! We just stayed at Bald Head Island for the first time and enjoyed the no-cars aspect of it very much. Also like Topsail Island. Lived here almost all my life and never been to the outer banks...want to do that sometime.
